We recommend booking 3–6 months in advance for peak season (July–October for Kenya and Tanzania, June–September for gorilla trekking). For the Great Migration river crossings and gorilla permits specifically, 6–12 months is advisable as availability is strictly limited. That said, we can often accommodate shorter lead times — please enquire and we'll confirm what's possible.

Yes. Gorilla trekking permits for both Uganda and Rwanda are included in the quoted safari price. For Rwanda, permits are currently priced at $1,500 per person. For Uganda, permits are $700 per person. We secure these permits at the time of booking confirmation and handle all logistics with the respective wildlife authorities.

The Migration is a year-round cycle. The most dramatic river crossings occur in the Masai Mara between July and October, and in Tanzania's western corridor between May and June. The calving season in Tanzania's southern Serengeti (December–February) offers extraordinary predator-prey encounters. We tailor our recommendations to your preferred travel dates and the specific aspects of the Migration you wish to witness.

Absolutely. We design family safaris for all ages and tailor the pace, vehicle configuration, and lodge selection accordingly. Most lodges welcome children from age 5 upward, and some have minimum age requirements for game drives. Gorilla trekking in Uganda and Rwanda has a minimum age of 15 years. Please indicate the ages of your children when you enquire and we'll design an itinerary that works for everyone.

Travel insurance is required for all our safaris and must include emergency medical evacuation cover. We strongly recommend comprehensive policies that also cover trip cancellation, delay, and loss of baggage. We are happy to recommend reputable insurance providers upon booking, but the choice of insurer is yours.

Multi-country itineraries are among our most popular offerings. Kenya and Tanzania combine beautifully across 7–14 days. Uganda and Rwanda gorilla trekking are commonly combined into a 5–8 day Great Apes experience. East Africa-wide grand tours across 16–21 days can include Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda in a single seamless journey. Tell us your interests and timeline and we'll propose the ideal combination.

We accept payment in USD, EUR, and GBP via international bank transfer. A deposit of 30% is required at booking to secure permits and lodge reservations, with the balance due 60 days prior to departure. We provide full payment receipts and booking confirmation immediately upon receipt of funds.
